Are you an experienced Engineering Assessor with a background in Mechatronics? We're working with a reputable and forward-thinking College who are looking to appoint a Skilled Apprenticeship Tutor to support the next generation of engineering talent.
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity ideal for someone passionate about delivering high-quality workplace training, assessment, and coaching to engineering apprentices on Mechatronics pathways.
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, on-site and remote assessment sessions to apprentices in Mechatronics Engineering
- Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback to support timely achievement
- Conduct workplace visits and reviews in line with curriculum and awarding body standards
- Plan and deliver skills-based coaching aligned with apprenticeship standards
- Complete assessment records and maintain accurate documentation
Requirements:
- A recognised Assessor qualification (TAQA, CAVA, A1 or equivalent) - Essential
- Recent experience assessing in an engineering/mechatronics environment - Essential
- Relevant Level 3 or above qualification in Engineering or Mechatronics
- Strong industry knowledge with the ability to coach and support apprentices in the workplace
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A teaching qualification (desirable but not essential)
