We are seeking a reliable and professional Security Guard to join the estates team and help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment.

Role Responsibilities

  • Conduct tours to encourage lanyard use and respectful behaviour.
  • Supervise behaviour across designated areas.
  • Monitor common rooms during break times.
  • Respond to incidents involving unauthorised individuals on site.
  • Build rapport with individuals, reporting those at risk to the safeguarding team.
  • Report breaches of the code of conduct.
  • Communicate regularly with the Safeguarding and Tutorial Team to support a safe culture.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous security experience, ideally in a public-facing environment.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with young people and vulnerable adults.
  • GCSE (or equivalent) qualification.
  • Willing and able to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
  • Professional, reliable, and approachable, with excellent communication skills.
