Are you passionate about supporting learners? Dovetail and Slate are an employment business working in partnership with over 200 colleges across the UK, offering exciting Personal Development Tutor opportunities for individuals with experience supporting learners or from a care background. No formal teaching qualifications are required, just a genuine enthusiasm for supporting learners in their education journey.

Responsibilities:

  • 1:1 meetings with students to discuss progress plans / develop targets
  • Providing pastoral support
  • Monitor and action issues with timekeeping / attendance / behaviour
  • Support with next steps including UCAS applications, apprenticeships, further study / work

Full time and part time hours are available. Term time only roles are available also.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 qualification or higher in English/Maths AND willingness to obtain an ENHANCED DBS check.
  • Experience working with young adults
  • Knowledge of additional learning needs
  • Up to date Safeguarding training, or a willingness to obtain Enhanced DBS or a willingness to obtain.
