We are seeking a highly motivated healthcare leader to provide strategic clinical oversight and manage operational excellence across a national network of primary care services. This established healthcare provider delivers specialised pharmacy services to GP federations and primary care networks across the country. The organisation focuses on driving innovation and maintaining the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance within the primary care sector. This role would suit someone who is already working in Operations for a large scale business in Primary Care, or a Practice Manager looking for a step up.
Role Responsibilities
- Direct the daily clinical functions of the business to ensure all service delivery surpasses regulatory and professional benchmarks.
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, fostering a culture of transparency and professional growth.
- Act as the primary point of contact for external partners, managing stakeholder relationships through proactive communication and regular performance reviews.
- Design and execute operational frameworks and digital dashboards to monitor key metrics and ensure service excellence.
- Oversee workforce planning and rota management to guarantee consistent service coverage and mitigate operational risks.
- Produce comprehensive analytical reports for the executive board regarding clinical governance, patient feedback, and strategic planning.
Essential Requirements
- Current registration with the GPhC or NMC as an Independent Prescriber.
- Substantial experience in a primary care setting, with a deep understanding of PCN and GMS contractual frameworks.
- Proven track record in leadership and the performance management of clinical teams.
- Expertise in clinical governance, risk assessment, and the implementation of safety protocols such as Datix.
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to negotiate and present to senior stakeholders and board members.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one.
