Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant, or experienced in supporting individuals with special educational needs and disabilities? A renowned educational establishment is currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join their team as a Learning Support Assistant, providing academic, social, and personal support to students with SEND or additional needs, both in and out of the classroom, promoting independence and an inclusive learning environment. With access to state-of-the-art facilities, and a supportive environment for both students and staff, this is a great opportunity to support an Ofsted 'Good' rated College.

Responsibilities:

  • Working as part of the learning support team, providing constructive and structured support to learners with special educational needs and disabilities
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to facilitate their academic development
  • Contribute towards EHCPs where possible, suggesting adjustments where necessary
  • Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve the curriculum, incorporating the latest industry trends and advancements

Requirements:

  • Experience in this field and the ability to support learners of mixed abilities
  • An enhanced DBS
  • Experience working in a College is advantageous but not essential
