We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Lecturer in Electrical Maintenance Engineering to join our Engineering team in the Middlesbrough area. This role involves delivering high-quality teaching and learning across a range of qualifications, including Pearson Level 3 BTECs and City & Guilds Level 3 T Levels, within both classroom and workshop environments. You will play a key role in preparing learners with the technical skills, knowledge, and professional behaviours required for progression into employment, apprenticeships, or further study within the electrical and engineering sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive, and industry-relevant programmes of study tailored to learner needs across classroom and workshop settings.
  • Design and deliver assessment programmes in line with awarding body and organization standards.
  • Use diagnostic assessments to identify learner strengths and areas for development, implementing timely interventions.
  • Maintain accurate records and participate in internal and external quality assurance processes.
  • Promote high standards of learner behaviour, attendance, and progress while supporting taking teaching higher strategies.

Qualification Requirements

  • Mandatory: Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline). (Note: Willingness to work towards a recognized teaching qualification is supported if not already held).

Teacher Training Support

If you are not yet a qualified teacher, support will be provided to help you achieve a teaching qualification (PGCE), provided entry requirements are met (Level 2 English and Maths, continuous UK residency for at least three years, and original qualification certificates).
