We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Animal Welfare & Management Lecturer to join a thriving land-based college and inspire the next generation of animal care professionals.

The Role

You will deliver engaging and practical Animal Welfare & Management lessons across a range of programmes, supporting learners to develop the skills and knowledge required for careers within the animal care industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality teaching across Animal Welfare & Management programmes
  • Support learners to achieve positive outcomes and progression opportunities
  • Act as a course tutor, monitoring attendance, progress, and student wellbeing
  • Participate in practical demonstrations and industry-related learning activities
  • Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement initiatives
  • Support student recruitment activities, including open events and careers fairs

Essential Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Animal Welfare, Animal Management, Animal Science, or a related discipline
  • Relevant industry experience within the animal care sector
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DET) or willingness to work towards one
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Passion for supporting learners to achieve their full potential
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
