We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated Workshop Engineer to join a dynamic team of industry professionals and inspire the next generation of engineers through training.

Role Responsibilities (Once trained)

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality teaching across Workshop Engineering courses (Machining, Lathe, CNC, Hand fitting etc).
  • Plan, prepare and assess learning activities to support student progression and achievement.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, ensuring content aligns with current industry standards.
  • Support students in developing their technical skills and employability prospects.
  • Work collaboratively with a dynamic team to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
  • Develop employer partnerships to enhance student learning opportunities and industry engagement.

Essential Requirements

  • A minimum Level 3 qualification in Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Extensive industry experience in Workshop Engineering.
  • A teaching qualification (Cert Ed, PGCE, or PTTLS) or willingness to work towards one.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience working with young engineers or leading teams (Desired but not essential).
