About the role

As Specialist Tutor for Inclusion, you'll provide tailored teaching and learning support to students who need additional help to access and succeed in their studies. Working with an established education provider, you'll adapt your delivery to individual needs and help remove the barriers that can stand in the way of achievement. This is a role for someone who combines subject or study-skills expertise with genuine patience and care. You'll work closely with students, teaching teams and support staff to make sure every learner has the guidance they need to progress.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering specialist one-to-one and small-group tuition to students with additional learning needs.
  • Assessing individual learning needs and planning support that helps students access the curriculum.
  • Developing and adapting resources and strategies to suit a range of learning styles and requirements.
  • Working alongside teaching and support colleagues to ensure a consistent, inclusive approach.
  • Monitoring student progress and providing regular feedback and early intervention where needed.

What we're looking for

Essential:

  • Experience of supporting learners with additional needs or specific learning difficulties
  • The ability to adapt teaching and resources to individual requirements
  • Strong communication skills and a patient, encouraging approach
  • A genuine commitment to inclusive education and learner success

Desirable (but not essential):

  • A relevant teaching, tutoring or specialist support qualification
  • Experience of working in a further education or college setting
