Location: Suffolk Contract Are you a patient, dedicated support professional looking to make a real difference to young people who need more from their education?

About the role As a Specialist Teaching Assistant, you'll work alongside teachers and the wider support team to help pupils access their learning and thrive.

Working with a multi-academy trust in Suffolk, you'll provide tailored support that meets the individual needs of the young people in your care.

You'll build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, encouraging engagement, confidence and independence.

Your role will be hands-on and varied, and no two days will look the same.

Your responsibilities will include: Supporting pupils individually and in small groups to help them access the curriculum.

Working closely with teachers to deliver planned learning activities and adapt them to individual needs.

Encouraging positive behaviour and helping pupils to develop confidence and independence.

Building strong, supportive relationships with pupils and contributing to a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Monitoring and recording pupil progress and feeding back to the teaching team.

What we're looking for

Essential: Experience of working with children or young people, ideally in an education or support setting A patient, calm and empathetic approach Strong communication and relationship-building skills A genuine commitment to helping young people succeed Desirable (but not essential): A relevant teaching assistant or support qualification Experience supporting pupils with additional needs If you're ready to help young people reach their potential, we'd love to hear from you.
