Working with a further education provider in the North East, you'll play a key part in helping apprentices and students develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed in industry.

You'll assess learners in the workplace and in the learning environment, providing clear feedback and tailored support to keep them on track. Whether someone is just starting out or building on established experience, you'll be there to help them progress.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing learners against the requirements of their port operative qualifications.
  • Planning and carrying out assessments in the workplace and in the learning environment.
  • Providing constructive feedback and setting clear targets for progression.
  • Maintaining accurate records of learner progress and achievement.

  • The ability to build strong working relationships with learners and support their progression
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records

Desirable (but not essential):

  • A recognised assessor qualification (such as the CAVA or A1)
  • Previous experience of assessing or mentoring learners in a workplace setting

If you don't yet hold an assessor qualification, that needn't hold you back. Our client can provide the training and ongoing development you need to move into the role.

If you're ready to bring your industry experience into education and help learners build the skills that will launch their careers, we'd love to hear from you.
