We are seeking passionate and dedicated assessing professionals to join our automotive team and help develop the next generation of skilled technicians. The Role

  • Visiting apprentices in their workplaces to observe practical competence and assess their performance against apprenticeship standards.
  • Conducting progress reviews with apprentices and employers to monitor development and set clear action plans.
  • Supporting apprentices to build and maintain their evidence portfolios using the OneFile e-portfolio system (or a similar platform).
  • Assessing workplace evidence through observations, professional discussions, witness testimonies and questioning.
  • Providing constructive feedback and coaching to help apprentices improve their skills and remain on track.
  • Ensuring apprentices are fully prepared for their End-Point Assessment (EPA).
  • Liaising regularly with employers to monitor attendance, performance and workplace development.
  • Managing a caseload of apprentices, scheduling workplace visits and maintaining accurate assessment records.

What We're Looking For

  • A recognised Assessing qualification (essential).
  • NVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle (or equivalent).
  • Relevant industry experience within the motor vehicle sector.
  • A passion for teaching and developing future automotive professionals.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • A commitment to delivering outstanding learning experiences and supporting learner success.
