We are working with a well-established college group based in Yorkshire that is seeking a passionate and industry-experienced Fabrication & Welding Lecturer to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. What You Will Do

  • Plan and deliver high-quality teaching, learning and assessment in Fabrication and Welding within a workshop environment
  • Develop engaging schemes of work, lesson plans and practical learning resources
  • Assess learner work, provide timely feedback and maintain accurate progress records
  • Set and monitor SMART targets to support learner achievement and progression
  • Motivate and support FE learners in developing practical skills, technical knowledge and employability
  • Carry out internal verification/moderation and contribute to quality improvement processes
  • Participate in course promotion, recruitment activities and examination processes
  • Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge and professional standards

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Fabrication and Welding
  • Recent industry experience in fabrication and welding
  • Experience working with apprentices
  • Passion for developing learners and supporting progression
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Teaching experience is desirable but not essential. Full support and funding towards a recognised teaching qualification will be provided for the right candidate.
