Construction Tutor
Location: North Kent
Salary: £27,500 – £30,000 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week)

What you\’ll be doing
As a Construction Tutor, you\’ll deliver high-quality, hands-on training to small groups of learners-typically no more than 8 per group. You\’ll help them build confidence, complete vocational qualifications, and develop the skills they need to progress into further training, apprenticeships, or employment.
Your responsibilities will include:

Planning and delivering engaging construction lessons and workshops

Setting up and managing practical classroom/workshop environments

Monitoring learner progress and providing feedback and support

Assessing coursework and contributing to qualifications

Supporting students\’ personal and professional development

Working with colleagues to enhance the learning experience
Who we\’re looking for
We\’re looking for someone who is:

Skilled in construction trades (e.g., carpentry, bricklaying, plumbing, or multi-trade)

Passionate about working with young people who may need additional support

Flexible, supportive, and team-focused

Qualified in English and Maths at GCSE (Grade C/4) or equivalent Level 2

Holding (or willing to work towards) a teaching qualification – fully funded
Previous teaching experience is welcome but not essential-if you bring the trade skills and the right attitude, we\’ll provide the training and support.
