An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent full-time Construction Technician/Demonstrator. You'd be joining the education provider's highly-regarded construction team, working alongside other talented teaching staff passing on their skills to the next generation. Your role could be either a fantastic pathway into a teaching career, or just a highly rewarding permanent role with a fantastic college.
Responsibilities
- Help out students in Practical Lessons for the Construction Department.
- Safeguarding responsibilities.
- To prepare & set-up physical materials and equipment for workshop activities.
- To produce a preventative maintenance schedule and carry out such maintenance on all tools and workshop equipment.
- To order workshop equipment and materials in conjunction with the team.
- To maintain the workshop to current H&S standards.
Qualifications
- Level 2 / Advanced craft in a Construction based trade or other related qualification of an equal level is ideal.
- First Aid at work qualification or willingness to get one.
