About the Role

As a Plumbing Lecturer, you'll deliver engaging, practical and theory-based teaching to learners working towards their plumbing qualifications. You'll bring your industry experience into the classroom and workshop, helping students build the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to succeed.

You'll plan and prepare lessons, assess learners' progress and support their development throughout their programme. Working as part of a supportive team, you'll play a key role in shaping the careers of aspiring plumbers.

If you come from industry rather than teaching, that's welcome. Where relevant, the provider offers support to help you develop your teaching practice.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering practical and theoretical plumbing sessions to learners at a range of levels.
  • Planning, preparing and delivering lessons in line with the curriculum.
  • Assessing and monitoring learner progress and providing constructive feedback.
  • Maintaining a safe and productive learning environment in the workshop and classroom.
  • Supporting learners with their personal and professional development.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • A relevant plumbing qualification and industry experience
  • A genuine interest in supporting and developing learners
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • The ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities

Desirable (but not essential):

  • A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
  • Previous experience teaching or mentoring in an education setting
  • Assessor qualifications

If you're ready to pass on your trade and shape the next generation of plumbers, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today.
