Are you an experienced assessor with a passion for supporting learners with special educational needs and disabilities?

About the Role

As a SEND EAA Specialist Assessor, you'll carry out Exam Access Arrangement (EAA) assessments that identify the support learners need to access their assessments fairly. Working with an established education provider, you'll play a key part in making sure every learner has the opportunity to demonstrate their true ability.

You'll assess learners with a range of needs, gather and interpret evidence, and produce clear, accurate reports that meet awarding body and regulatory requirements. You'll work closely with teaching staff, learning support teams and families to put appropriate arrangements in place.

You'll bring specialist knowledge and a person-centred approach, ensuring that recommendations are robust, well-evidenced and focused on the individual learner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out Exam Access Arrangement assessments for learners with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Gather and interpret evidence to establish each learner's normal way of working.
  • Produce accurate, compliant reports in line with awarding body and regulatory requirements.
  • Work alongside teaching and learning support staff to implement appropriate arrangements.
  • Maintain clear records and ensure all documentation is kept up to date.
  • Provide advice and guidance to colleagues on access arrangements and SEND support.

Essential Qualification

A recognised assessor qualification appropriate to conducting Exam Access Arrangement assessments.
