We are seeking an experienced Sunglasses Specialist to join the team at Dover Street Market. This role involves cultivating and maintaining relationships with clients both in-store and internationally. You will introduce Dover Street Market to your existing clientele, offering unparalleled customer service to meet and exceed the company’s financial targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service and Sales: Deliver exceptional customer service at all times. Drive sales and provide personalised shopping and styling experiences. Maintain and update the customer database. Stay informed on trends and advise customers on stock availability. Manage a customer book of key clients and VIPs. Support staff training and in-store presentations. An eye for visual merchandising to continually tweak the space and work closely with the Visual Merchandising Manager and Senior Floor Manager.
- Stock and Brand Management: Providing feedback to the Merchandising team on customer preferences and needs. Ensure a deep understanding of product, actively seeking opportunities to broaden knowledge of the brand and product. Work closely with the Merchandising team/Senior Floor Manager to ensure stock is managed in line with client needs. Conduct regular stock checks on a weekly basis. Participate in stock deliveries.
Key Objectives:
- Ensure seamless store operations and top-tier customer service.
- Build and maintain a loyal client base, seeking out opportunities to drive the Business.
- Meet individual monthly and seasonal sales targets.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of product and client.
- Foster a service-driven environment that values teamwork and collaborative selling.
- To produce daily and monthly reporting on the performance of the space with qualitative and quantitative feedback.
- To manage frequent, weekly or fortnightly stock rotations.
The Ideal Candidate
- Attitude: Highly motivated and professional, able to converse at all levels. Energetic, self‑motivated, and organised. Flexible and approachable, with a willingness to work hard and drive the business forward. Capable of multitasking and prioritising effectively.
- Skills: Specific understanding of the Sunglasses market, aesthetic and consumer. At least 2 years of experience in high‑end/luxury retail. Understanding of Dover Street Market’s consumer base and sub-brands. A client book of potential new business. Beneficial training in clienteling and sales development. Language skills and knowledge of Retail Pro are advantageous.
