Proactively managing all multi-channel stock operations across the store and warehouse, ensuring exceptional levels of stock accuracy while leading and supporting the team. Responsible for the overall management of stock within the business. Committed to mentoring, coaching, and developing team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance. Consistently identifies and implements process improvements using a methodical approach, while taking full ownership of problem-solving and driving effective resolutions. Working directly with key stakeholders including Operations, Store Managers, Merchandising & Finance.
Stock Control & Inventory Management - Store
- Day to day management and control of stock accuracy
- Investigating and analysing stock take results
- Align stock quantities after cycle counts and investigate discrepancies
- Manage regular cycle counts and follow up on missing, misplaced, or un-barcoded stock
- Oversight of RFID process including exception reporting and resolution
- Resolution of all non-barcoded items (60K)
- Manage all stock locations and transfers within Retail Pro
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date stock records and availability
- Manage Goods In (receiving, checking quantities, pricing, descriptions)
- Manage Goods Out (picking, packing, and dispatching orders)
- Enter, control, and check deliveries and store transfers
- Sign off Goods In and Dispatch slips
- Manage stock transfers (intercompany and DSMI locations)
- Project management over seasonal changeover
- Work with merchandising and retail teams on replenishment
- Conduct regular BOH and stockroom reviews to ensure optimal organisation and high standards
Stock Control & Inventory Management - Warehouse
- Manage the DHL warehouse relationship fostering collaborative improvements
- Organise delivery schedules with our 3rd party partner and communicate to all key stakeholders
- Supervise store deliveries, maintaining a seamless schedule VMD, store replenishment and e-commerce
- Manage the online portal with the support of the warehouse team ensuring all issues are resolved as soon as possible
- Management of both the RTW (Return to warehouse) and RTV (Return to vendor) process
- Review warehouse invoices and attend a monthly invoice analysis meeting at the warehouse exploring opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs
- Regularly visit the warehouse to review all space occupied by DSM, ensuring it is well organised and used efficiently, with a clear focus on long-term stock storage and accessibility
Reporting & Stakeholder Management
- Produce month-end reconciliation of stock adjustment accounts and stock loss
- Present to senior stakeholders the results from stock discrepancy investigations with recommended actions
- Design and implement ad-hoc reporting tools
- Prepare month-end stock summary reports by location and by season
- Prepare month-end stock movement reports with commentary on major movements and discrepancies
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead the Stock Control team ensuring effective allocation of resources to achieve KPIs
- Coach and develop the stock control team to ensure operational excellence
- Fostering a culture of accountability, efficiency and cross-department collaboration
- Hold regular probationary and 'touch base' meetings with staff to discuss performance KPIs and skills development
