Working for Waukesha Bearings as a Commissioning Engineer, you will be part of a specialist team responsible for the commissioning of the new active magnetic bearings installations that we manufacture and in the servicing of existing installations both remotely and on-site when required, on a world-wide basis. Additionally, you would be providing support for production testing, when required at our laboratory facility in Worthing, West Sussex.
For more than three decades, Waukesha Magnetic Bearings has applied proven magnetic bearing technology to advance the performance of rotating equipment. We lead the industry in custom-engineered active magnetic bearing (AMB) systems for large turbomachinery and high-performing rotating equipment ranging from turbo expanders to multi stage natural gas compressors and electrical motors up to 23MW.
What You Will Bring- HNC/HND Electrical Engineering or similar
- A minimum five years related experience in the commissioning of automation systems
- Knowledge of European safety standards is also beneficial
- Be fully involved in commissioning on a worldwide basis, including sub systems prior to site installation
- Be fully involved in servicing on a global basis
- Be fully involved in service call out on a global basis
- Complete system integration and test in accordance with company procedures
- Provide all documentation for testing of installations and cabinets
- Assist with cabinet testing
- Ensure all specified cabinet and system requirements are met by delivery date
- Meet all relevant safety and quality standards by country
- Meet commissioning targets as agreed with customers
- Present a professional approach and demonstrate technical competence to the Customer at all times
- Carry out any duties required to support the business objectives
- Role may be responsible for commercial business activities as time allows
- Up to 50% business travel to include international travel
