The Role & Responsibilities:

We are looking for self-motivated individual to join the Waste Services team, acting on behalf of Dover District Council and Folkestone & Hythe District Councils, supporting the provision of Recycling & Waste Collectionsand Street Cleansing services across the two Districts. This successful partnership between the two authorities, led by Dover District Council, has been running for approximately 15 years, with the current 8-year contract with a private sector provider commencing in January 2021.

Who We Are Looking For

This position offers excellent opportunities for an ambitious and self-motivated individual to develop and demonstrate their experience and to progress their career within this sector, whilst helping usto develop and adapt our services to meet the changing demands that we willface over the coming years. This role includes a significant element of field-based working (requiring you to have a driving licence and vehicle), and the successful candidate will monitor the day-to-day delivery and standards achieved by our partner contractor, investigating and resolving issues arising, and working collaboratively to implement measures to ensure performance improvement and enhancements where necessary.
