The Role & Responsibilities:

The Venue\’s team is currently seeking a Front of House Assistant to work 32.5 hours per week across five days, including weekends and occasional evenings. The Maison Dieu (Dover’s Town Hall) has recently undergone a £10.5 million restoration and renovation. The building opened in in Spring 2025 and open for public, private, ticketed and community events all year round.

The role will be the first point of contact in Maison Dieu reception, providing a friendly, welcoming and informative environment for a range of visitors.

Ensuring that all visitors and customers receive great customer service whatever role the jobholder is undertaking, whether in the reception area, selling retail items, dealing with an enquiries, at a stall for an event, assisting customers at hospitality functions, such as weddings and meetings, or behind the scenes.

Due to the nature of this role, the successful applicant will be required to undertake a Basic DBS check as part of their pre-employment clearances.
