The Role & Responsibilities

We are looking for a professional, approachable, and community-focused individual to join our Parking Services team as a Civil Enforcement Officer (CEO). You will play a vital role in keeping our streets safe and accessible by ensuring parking regulations are followed and helping to reduce congestion and obstruction. We are seeking highly motivated individuals with good communication skills and the ability to deal calmly and professionally with difficult situations and conflict, who will be able to work over a 7-day week shift pattern.

As a Civil Enforcement Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Patrolling designated areas on foot or by vehicle to monitor parking compliance.
  • Issuing Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) to vehicles parked in contravention of regulations.
  • Providing advice and guidance to the public on parking rules and restrictions.
  • Reporting damaged or missing signage and road markings.
  • Maintaining accurate records and using handheld devices to log enforcement activity.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
  • Good level of physical fitness for outdoor patrols in all weathers.
  • Basic IT skills and ability to use handheld enforcement devices.
  • Previous experience in enforcement or a public-facing role is an advantage.
