Main position objectives
The shipping/receiving clerk provides the initial inspection of incoming commercial items from suppliers and the final quality check on the orders to the customer. They help to promote the high standard of customer service that Maag has built. Ensuring that all orders are received accurately and shipped on time to our customers.
- Execute the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.
- Tracks, traces and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Operates a forklift to load/unload trucks and to remove/replace items on inventory shelves.
- Inspects, identifies, tags, and receives all commercial items ordered from suppliers
- Packs items securely for shipment on UPS, Fed-Ex, DHL, and truck shipments.
- Uses current business system to print packing slips and identification tags for sales orders.
- Works with purchasing to resolve discrepancies on incoming shipments from suppliers.
- Pulls, issues, and delivers items for Production orders, spare part orders, projects, and inventory.
- Maintains an accurate inventory transaction in SAP.
- Operates a handheld scanner.
- Maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready area.
- Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude.
- Cycle count warehouse inventory daily.
- Maintain and apply 5S and Lean concepts in designated work areas.
- Other tasks as assigned by the manager.
