OPPORTUNITY
We’re pleased to offer a summer placement to work as part of our highly knowledgeable Engineering team, in a role that will literally take you out of this world! You’ll have a unique development opportunity working alongside experienced engineers, learning and putting your current knowledge and skills into practice, whilst developing new ones. You’ll learn how a business with global impact operates, have assigned responsibilities and projects and your contributions will protect and connect people around the globe and into space for our defence, aerospace and telecommunication customers.
This year, your focus is on working on and delivering an electronics project to produce a functional proof‑of‑concept narrowband filter‑based frequency discriminator based receiver. To do this, you’ll complete the following activities:
- Design and simulate a high degree thinfilm filter and theoretically prove discriminator performance.
- Design and prototype basis single diode‑based phase detector circuits.
- Produce thinfilm RF proof‑of‑concept single channel receiver hardware.
- Design and prototype ADC acquisition carrier and integrate the thinfilm receiver.
- Demonstrate complete full receiver performance.
HOW DO I APPLY?
To apply, you’re completing a Degree in Electronics. You also have experience in:
