Dovehaven Care Homes are recruiting for an Activities Co-ordinator to join our team at Deanwood Manor, Spring Road, Wigan. This position will require you to work 25 hours per week - 5 days per week and alternate weekend availability is required. Our homes are run by caring, friendly teams who pride themselves on providing a secure, happy and welcoming atmosphere for all residents and visitors and maintaining the homes to a very high standard.

About the role: We are looking for an Activities Coordinator who is caring, enthusiastic and organised. You will be required to create ideas, organise social and recreational events, both in and outside of the home, and consult with our residents to identify their social and recreational interests, generate enthusiasm and support the delivery of these activities. You will also plan and implement a wide range of activities to support the physical and mental wellbeing of our residents.

Ideal candidates will have previous experience within a similar setting, ideally with groups of people who have a variety of needs and tastes. Working as part of a wider team, you will be committed to making the lives of elderly people better and focused on making our residents’ lives fulfilling.
