Make a real difference as an Occupational Therapist Assistant
If you’re looking for a role where your work genuinely has an impact on people’s lives, this could be an exciting opportunity for you.
At Dovehaven Lodge in Ingol, Preston, you’ll join a supportive multidisciplinary team at Rowan Unit, a purpose-built 18-bed service supporting adults with complex needs, including acquired and traumatic brain injuries, neurological conditions, enduring mental health conditions and behavioural support needs.
As an Occupational Therapist Assistant, you’ll play an important role in helping individuals maintain and develop their skills, independence and quality of life. You’ll be involved in assessing, monitoring and evaluating structured activities, seeing the progress people make and helping adapt support to ensure it remains meaningful and effective.
Why consider this opportunity?
- Make a tangible difference: Your work will directly contribute to the wellbeing, development and independence of people with complex needs.
- Be part of a multidisciplinary team: You’ll work alongside experienced healthcare professionals, with regional support available when you need it.
- Develop your career: You’ll have access to training and online learning opportunities designed to help you build your skills and progress professionally.
- Varied and rewarding work: No two days will be exactly the same. You’ll coordinate activities, monitor progress, identify what needs attention and help keep the service running smoothly.
- Join an organisation that values its people: The role offers employee wellbeing benefits, a pension scheme and a strong focus on training and development.
- Permanent, full-time opportunity: A stable role offering £30,000 per annum, weekend rotation required
We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and compassionate, with excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to provide a professional and supportive service.
