Please note we do not offer Sponsorship. Dovehaven Care Homes are recruiting for a Care Assistant to join our team at Maple Lodge Residential Home, Halewood in Liverpool. Working three nights a week 7pm-7am, with every other weekend involved, 33 hr contracts available.

Maple Lodge is a residential care home catering for up to 45 residents. The home specialises in dementia care, and our aim is to ensure all our residents feel as comfortable as possible. Our homes promote independence, dignity and respect through positive risk taking and empowerment.

About the Role: As Care Assistant, you will assist other staff in the running of the Home and maintain high standards of care and service towards service users, relatives, visitors and other members of staff. You will be providing a range of personal and practical care to our residents.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate compassion and empathy in your approach to caring for older people, either through previous roles in social care or in other roles.
  • Self-motivated, resilient and well-organised.
  • Dependable, able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of the residents and the Home.

Skills and Experience:

  • Caring and sensitive to the needs of others.
  • Committed to providing service excellence.
  • Able to communicate effectively.
  • Able to provide emotional and social support.
  • Committed to providing a high standard of care, promoting dignity and respect.
  • NVQ Level 2 health and social care is desirable.
