Brooklands Care Home Dovehaven Care Homes are recruiting for a Bank Domestic/Laundry Assistant to join our team at Brooklands Care Home, Old Swan, Liverpool. Working hours will be 8am-2pm, or 8am-4.30pm, with a 0hr contract. Brooklands is a residential care home catering for up to 43 residents. The home specialises in dementia care and aims to ensure all residents feel as comfortable as possible. Our homes promote independence, dignity and respect through positive risk‑taking and empowerment.

About the Role

As a domestic/laundry assistant you will be responsible for ensuring a clean, safe environment is provided for our residents, visitors and staff and be an important part of the team that ensures residents in our care feel valued. Duties will include following a daily schedule for cleaning within the home, hoovering, dusting, polishing, shampooing carpets, mopping floors, washing, ironing residents’ clothes, lining, and ensuring all property goes back into the correct resident’s room, as well as completing other duties as required.

About You

You will have a caring nature and a positive attitude, showing a desire to deliver the best possible standard of domestic and laundry service to the residents in our care. You will ideally have previous domestic experience and be committed to ensuring the highest levels of cleanliness, hygiene and appearance. You will be able to demonstrate compassion and empathy in your approach to older people and be a team player but able to work on your own initiative.
