An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Domestic/Laundry Assistant to join our care home, Dovehaven House, located on Moss Road in Southport. You will be working 36 hours per week - 9am - 6pm on a rota basis with alternate weekend availability required.

We are a caring, friendly team who pride ourselves on providing a secure, happy and welcoming atmosphere for all residents and visitors and maintaining the home to a very high standard.

About the Role

As a Domestic/Laundry Assistant you will be responsible for ensuring a clean safe environment is provided for our residents, visitors and staff and be an important part of the team that ensures residents in our care feel valued. Duties will include following a daily schedule for cleaning within the home, hoovering, dusting, polishing, shampooing carpets, mopping floors and any other duties as required. For laundry duties, you will look after all clothing and bedding, ensuring everything is labelled and washed according to the washing instructions and ironed to a high standard.

About You

You will have a caring nature and a positive attitude, showing a desire to deliver the best possible standard of domestic and laundry service to the residents in our care. You will ideally have previous domestic experience and be committed to ensuring the highest levels of cleanliness, hygiene and appearance. You will be able to demonstrate compassion and empathy in your approach to older people and be a team player but able to work on your own initiative. You will be dependable and flexible to meet the needs of the residents and the Home.
