About the Role
- Support the Home Manager and lead nursing and care teams to deliver safe, effective, and person‑centred care for residents.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and deliver high‑quality, person‑centred nursing care
- Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and support to nurses and care staff
- Assist the Home Manager with clinical governance and compliance requirements
- Monitor and audit care practices to maintain high standards
- Administer medication safely and oversee medication management processes
- Monitor residents’ nutritional and dietary needs
- Support wound care, infection control, and pressure area care management
- Review care plans, risk assessments, and clinical documentation for accuracy and compliance
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and safeguarding concerns as required
- Support staff development through coaching, mentoring, and competency assessments
- Promote a safe environment by leading by example
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies
- Support quality improvement initiatives and prepare for inspections and audits

Essential Skills & Experience
- Currently registered with the NMC for the appropriate client group (valid PIN required)
- Previous care home experience
- Experience in medication administration and clinical oversight
- Knowledge of wound care, infection control, and pressure area care
- Experience leading, supervising, or mentoring nursing and care teams
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Experience completing audits, care plan reviews, and clinical documentation
- Good understanding of CQC standards and clinical governance processes
