Dovehaven Care Homes are recruiting for an Activities Coordinator to join our team at Hope House Nursing Home, Rishton Road, Accrington. This position will require you to work 30 hours per week - 9am - 3pm - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and 1 day over the weekend (Saturday OR Sunday). Hope House is a Nursing home catering for up to 42 residents, and our aim is to ensure all our residents feel as comfortable and happy as possible. Our homes promote independence, dignity and respect through positive risk taking and empowerment.
About the role
We are looking for an Activities Coordinator who is caring, enthusiastic and organised. You will be required to create ideas, organise social and recreational events, both in and outside of the home, and consult with our residents to identify their social and recreational interests, generate enthusiasm and support the delivery of these activities. You will also plan and implement a wide range of activities to support the physical and mental wellbeing of our residents. Ideal candidates will have previous experience within a similar setting, ideally with groups of people who have a variety of needs and tastes. Working as part of a wider team, you will be committed to making the lives of elderly people better and focused on making our residents' lives fulfilling.
