Role: Multi Skilled Engineer
Pay Rate: £18.87 to £25.48 per hour dependent upon experience
Contract: Permanent
Location: Pontefract, WF8 3DD
Shift Available: Monday to Friday, 38.5 hours per week

Our facilities combine traditional British butchery technique with some of the best technological prowess in the food sector. A committed team of over 800 staff oversee the whole process: from procuring the best possible livestock from our carefully picked group of farms, through butchery, retail packaging and despatch before it finally arrives on the supermarket shelf or as part of the restaurant dining experience.
About you:
- ONC level 3 Minimum qualified in electrical engineering/electrical installation.
- Previous Food Manufacturing Experience preferred but not essential.
- Qualified in 18th Edition Electrical Regulations preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to use initiative and work under pressure.
- Good communication skills.
- Good IT skills.
Role:
- Maintain all machinery to the standard expected within a food environment.
- Continuous improvement of all production/packaging machinery.
- Decrease down time and increase productivity by providing reactive and planned preventative maintenance and assisting with project work.
- Cover electrical work in the main, however you will be asked to assist with mechanical tasks from time to time (75% Electrical – 25% Mechanical).
- Reactive/Breakdown maintenance – Due to the nature of the business the work loads are split between breakdown maintenance (and covering production) 50%, planned preventative maintenance 30% and project work 20%.
- You will obtain your workloads via the maintenance board – conduct your work and complete the worksheet.
- Electrical control fault finding.
- Plumbing experience desirable.
