Who are we?
We are a family business established in Yorkshire in 1997 based in Pontefract with a reputation for exceptional product, innovation and industry leading animal welfare standards. Our facilities combine traditional British butchery technique with some of the best technological prowess in the food sector.
A committed team of over 800 staff oversee the whole process: from procuring the best possible livestock from our carefully picked group of farms, through butchery, retail packaging and despatch before it finally arrives on the supermarket shelf or as part of the restaurant dining experience.
About you:
- Ideally have own transport (again not essential)
- Flexible in your ability to work on your own or within a Team
- Enjoy working to targets
- Are willing to work in a physically challenging environment
Role:
- Stack down meat products onto own pallets.
- Ensure that each product is kept separate.
- Transfer meat products in a way that maintains the temperature of the product within food safety and company limits. Checking that the route to storage is clear and safe, following company procedures to deal with any problems.
- Stock meat products in the correct location allocated for each product.
- Work to a high standard to efficiently complete all duties to minimise waste and downtime to maximise yields
- Operation of machinery
- Manual handling
