Contract: Permanent

Shift pattern: Monday to Friday, 7am to 2pm (some weekend work will be required)

Dovecote Park is a family business established in Yorkshire since 1997 with a reputation for exceptional product, innovation and industry leading animal welfare standards. Our facilities combine traditional British butchery technique with some of the best technological prowess in the food sector.

A committed team of over 700 staff oversee the whole process: from procuring the best possible livestock from our carefully picked group of farms, through butchery, retail packaging and despatch before it finally arrives on the supermarket shelf or as part of the restaurant dining experience.

About you

  • Previous experience working within the food sector
  • Experience of assisting preparation of both hot and cold meals
  • Understanding of food hygiene
  • A good work ethic

Role

  • Ensure that all Standard Operating Procedures are strictly adhered to
  • Serving customers Hot and Cold Food on the front counter in a polite and courteous manner
  • Taking payment from customers and using the till
  • Ensuring the Vending Machines are replenished and well stocked
  • Ensuring that tables and the restaurant area are kept clean and tidy
  • Assist with the preparation of fresh sandwiches
  • Assist with the preparation of vegetables and meals
  • Assisting the kitchen with any general food prep
  • Ensuring all crockery and cutlery is washed and ready for customers to use
  • Assisting with the washing and cleaning of all restaurant equipment
  • Work in a way which minimizes or eliminates food safety risks such as cross contamination
  • Put and store waste in designated places
  • Ensure finished product is separated from raw materials to prevent cross contamination or any other hazards to food safety
  • Ensure that the hygiene standards are maintained at all times for the equipment and staff and ancillary areas, and that all storage areas are kept clean and tidy.
