Contract: Permanent

Location: Pontefract, WF8 3DD

Hours: 7:00am to 7:00pm, 38.5 Hours per week

  • Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
  • Week 2: Wednesday and Thursday ONLY!

Our facilities combine traditional British butchery technique with some of the best technological prowess in the food sector. A committed team of over 700 staff oversee the whole process from procuring the best possible livestock from our carefully picked group of farms, through butchery, retail packaging and despatch before it finally arrives on the supermarket shelf or as part of the restaurant dining experience.

About you:

  • No previous experience required as full training will be given.
  • Able to work well as an individual or in a team.
  • Work to a high standard to complete daily tasks.

What to expect:

  • Ensure all primal allocated to butchers is the correct input weight.
  • Any crates of primal going to the runoff is dealt with in a timely manner, scanned to line or returned to VDL.
  • Daily check on the QA primal pallet and action along with QA if needed.
  • Daily check on the retail return pallet and action along with QA if needed.
  • Scan any left-over steaks at the end of the production run into the WIP chill.
  • Scan any stock from the WIP chill onto line and job.
  • Scan all trim from production lines to keep traceability and yield information.
  • Ensure that all SOP’s are strictly adhered to.
  • Ensure that all traceability is completed.
  • Ensure that GMP standards are met.
