Role: Abattoir Operative
Day Rate: ÂŁ103.12 to ÂŁ110.76 per day depending upon experience
Contract: Permanent
Location: Stapleton, Pontefract, WF8 3DD
Shift Available: Monday to Friday 05:45am to 14:15pm
Who are we?
We are a family business established in Yorkshire in 1997 based in Darrington just outside of Skellinthorpe with a reputation for exceptional product, innovation, and industry-leading animal welfare standards. Our facilities combine traditional British butchery techniques with some of the best technological prowess in the food sector.
A committed team of over 800 staff oversee the whole process from procuring the best possible livestock from our carefully picked group of farms, through butchery, retail packaging, and despatch before it finally arrives on the supermarket shelf or as part of the restaurant dining experience.
About You
- Previous experience within the food industry is advantageous but it is not essential! Full training will be given.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Must have own transport
- Flexible in your ability to work on your own or within a Team
- Enjoy working to targets
- Are willing to work in a physically challenging environment
Role
- The position is based in our Abattoir department
- Scanning and wrapping of products
- Store waste in designated area’s
- Clean Plant throughout the day
- Heavy lifting
- Use of manual handling equipment
