Abattoir Operative — Primary Processing
Primary processing site in Skellingthorpe, Lincolnshire is recruiting an Abattoir Operative to join its operations team. This permanent, full-time role is advertised via the Meatex Jobs Board.

- Support primary processing operations within the abattoir
- Ensure livestock are processed safely, humanely and in line with food safety and welfare standards
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with primary processing tasks within the abattoir
- Follow animal welfare, food safety and health & safety procedures at all times
- Operate tools and equipment safely once trained
- Support line operations to meet daily throughput targets
- Maintain clean, compliant and organised work areas
- Handle products carefully to minimise contamination and waste
- Report issues, defects or welfare concerns immediately
- Work collaboratively as part of a production team
What We’re Looking For
- Previous abattoir or meat processing experience (desirable, not essential)
- Strong awareness of hygiene, safety and animal welfare standards
- Reliable, punctual and consistent work ethic
