Dove House is an Outstanding school and is one of five schools within Solent Academies Trust. We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, confident, and highly motivated higher level teaching assistant to join our fantastic support team on a permanent basis from September 2026.

Dove House is a popular, successful, and highly regarded school in Basingstoke, for students with severe and moderate learning difficulties and autism, aged between 11-19.
In this key position you provide PPA, and absence cover for teachers, enabling pupils with a wide range of additional needs to access learning and achieve by planning, supervising and assisting pupils across a wide range of activities and supported learning activities
You must be able to demonstrate empathy, sensitivity, tact and resilience when dealing with challenging circumstances, as well as being able to use your initiative and manage your own time well.
Experience of working with primary or secondary pupils with complex special needs would be advantageous
Training will be given to the successful candidate.

Band 6 + SEN Allowance
37 hours a week, term time only, permanent.

The hours for are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 8am - 4pm, Wednesday 8.30am - 4.30pm and Friday 8am - 3.30pm. You will work for 39 weeks of the year; however, you will be paid for 45.1 weeks. Your salary will be paid over 12 months of the year.
