Location: Longhill Shop (102 Shannon Road, Longhill, Hull, HU8 9PD)

Hours of work: 15 hours per week, 2 out of 7 days on a rota basis, Monday to Sunday (including Bank Holidays). Daily hours: 08:45-17:15 (Mon-Sat), 09:45-16:15 (Sun).

As an Assistant Shop Manager, you'll help create a welcoming environment where customers feel supported, donors feel appreciated, and volunteers feel valued. Working alongside your Shop Manager, you'll play an active part in ensuring the shop runs smoothly, efficiently and with our hospice values at its heart.

Responsibilities:
  • Support the Shop Manager in day to day running of a busy, vibrant shop, ensuring a positive experience for all visitors.
  • Provide excellent customer service, building warm and genuine connections with customers, donors and volunteers.
  • Help manage stock flow, pricing, merchandising and Gift Aid processes, ensuring donations are used to their full potential and displayed attractively and commercially.
  • Review sales information, spot opportunities to increase income and help grow footfall through great displays and local engagement.
