Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

About the Role
/n
Our client is looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Operative to join their property maintenance team in Hertfordshire. This is a hands-on position responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a portfolio of residential properties, ensuring they remain safe, compliant, and maintained to a high standard.
/n
The successful candidate will have experience across multiple trades, take pride in delivering quality workmanship, and be able to work independently while providing excellent customer service.
/n
Key Responsibilities
/n
/n
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across residential properties.
/n
- Complete a variety of repairs, including plumbing, carpentry, basic electrical work, decorating, and general property maintenance.
/n
- Diagnose faults and carry out effective, high-quality repairs.
/n
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety legislation, company procedures, and building regulations.
/n
- Manage your workload efficiently to meet service level agreements (SLAs) and deadlines.
/n
- Maintain accurate records of completed works, compliance checks, and materials used.
/n
- Communicate effectively with tenants, clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure maintenance issues are resolved promptly.
/n
- Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in a safe and serviceable condition.
/n
- Support colleagues where required and contribute to a positive team environment.
/n
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain high standards of workmanship at all times.
/n

About You
/n
To be successful in this role, you will have:
/n
/n
- Proven experience in a multi-skilled maintenance, construction, or property repairs role.
/n
- Competence across a range of trades, including plumbing, carpentry, basic electrical work, and general maintenance.
/n
- A good understanding of building maintenance, health and safety legislation, and relevant regulations.
/n
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
/n
- The ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage your own workload.
/n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
/n
- A practical approach and willingness to undertake manual work.
/n
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own suitable vehicle (essential).
/n

Desirable
/n
/n
- City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent trade qualifications.
/n
- CSCS Card, First Aid qualification, or other relevant Health & Safety certifications.
/n
/n
