Procurement Manager in London

Working Pattern: Office based | Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:30pm

Reporting to: Head of Hotel Asset Management

Salary: £50,000-£55,000 DOE

The Opportunity

Our client is a privately owned property investment company with an established and diverse portfolio of freehold office, residential, hotel, retail and leisure assets, with a significant presence in Canary Wharf. We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join the hotel asset management team and take responsibility for a broad range of procurement and supplier management activities across the hotel portfolio. Working closely with the hotel asset management team and various hotel brands, you will plan and execute effective procurement exercises, negotiate commercial agreements, monitor contracts and manage procurement-related activity across a wide range of goods and services. Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute procurement exercises across a broad range of goods and services.
• Work closely with hotel brands, operational teams and internal stakeholders to understand requirements and develop effective procurement strategies.
• Manage tender and supplier selection processes, ensuring commercial objectives and procurement procedures are followed.
• Negotiate complex procurement contracts, pricing structures, terms and conditions.
• Review existing supplier arrangements and identify opportunities to improve commercial performance and value.
• Monitor contracts and supplier performance, ensuring agreed service levels, pricing and contractual obligations are delivered.
• Manage procurement activity across multiple cost centres and business areas.
• Support the development and implementation of effective procurement processes and controls.
• Provide commercial insight and clear recommendations to key stakeholders.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, hotel operators, brands and external suppliers.
• Monitor market conditions, supplier performance and procurement trends to identify opportunities and mitigate risk.
• Support wider hotel asset management initiatives where procurement and supply chain expertise is required.

About You

We are looking for an experienced procurement professional with a strong understanding of purchasing, supplier management and commercial negotiations within hospitality, hotels, property or a related environment. You will ideally have a minimum of four years' experience in a comparable role, with a proven track record of managing suppliers, negotiating contracts and delivering commercially beneficial procurement outcomes. You will be commercially astute, confident working with stakeholders at all levels and able to demonstrate how effective procurement processes can deliver measurable operational and financial benefits. Experience of working across multiple cost centres and within a multi-site or group environment would be advantageous. A relevant qualification is welcomed, although candidates who are qualified by experience will also be considered.

Key Skills & Experience

• Minimum four years' experience in a similar procurement, purchasing or supply chain role.
• Proven experience negotiating complex procurement contracts and supplier agreements.
• Strong understanding of procurement procedures and best practice within hospitality, hotels, property or a comparable industry.
• Experience managing supplier relationships and supply chain activity.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.
• Ability to identify cost savings, efficiencies and value opportunities.
• Excellent negotiation, influencing and communication skills.
• Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership and use initiative.
• Flexible approach, with willingness to travel when required.
