Role Description: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled and reliable Handyperson to join Dove Davies and Partners. This is a varied, hands-on role ideally suited to a proactive and multi-skilled individual. The successful candidate will carry out general maintenance and repairs across our portfolio of residential and managed properties, ensuring high standards of presentation, safety, and tenant/landlord satisfaction at all times.

Essential Criteria:

  • General maintenance and repair skills, including basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry experience
  • Painting, furniture assembly, and minor decorating capabilities
  • Ability to safely use tools and equipment to complete maintenance tasks
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail for identifying and addressing property issues
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with property managers and tenants
  • Capability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks based on urgency
  • Experience with residential property maintenance is an advantage
  • Valid driver's license with no more than 3 penalty points (essential due to travel between properties), company vehicle available.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous experience working in residential lettings or property management
  • Awareness of Health & Safety requirements relating to vehicle use
  • Any relevant trade certifications or evidence of competence (e.g., Part P awareness).

Additional Information:

  • The role involves significant travel between properties using the company vehicle
  • You must be physically fit and able to undertake manual work, including lifting, working at height, and tasks in confined or outdoor spaces (reasonable adjustments will be considered for applicants with disabilities)
  • The postholder is required to comply with all company policies, including Health & Safety, and may be subject to a DBS check if working in occupied properties.
