Douglas Scott is working with a respected and expanding law firm looking to recruit a confident, experienced Residential Conveyancer to join their busy property team. If you\’re someone with a proven ability to run your own conveyancing files and support junior colleagues—regardless of formal qualifications —this is an excellent opportunity to step into a senior position with genuine autonomy.

�� What They’re Looking For

  • Significant experience managing a full residential property caseload from start to finish
  • Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in conveyancing (no need to be CLC, ILEX or Solicitor-qualified)
  • Excellent working knowledge of: Sales & purchases (freehold & leasehold) Remortgages Shared ownership & lease variations
  • Strong communication and client-handling skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to support and mentor junior team members

  • Manage a full caseload of residential conveyancing matters
  • Draft contracts, raise and respond to enquiries, conduct title checks, and manage completions
  • Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders, and third parties
  • Ensure all legal documents and processes comply with current regulations
  • Submit Land Registry applications and deal with post-completion tasks
  • Provide supervision and guidance to assistants or junior conveyancers
  • Occasionally provide cover at other office locations as needed
  • Support departmental growth and maintain high client care standards
