A dynamic, modern law firm with a strong and developing presence in regional areas of affluence has signed off on an ambitious project to build out its London Private Client and Family Law offering. The firm has strong backing and a clear vision: to build a technically excellent, service-led team with a fresh approach to high net worth and international private wealth.
An ideal opportunity for an ambitious Senior Associate to take a step up into a Partner position or a current Partner seeking a platform with fewer restrictions, more innovation, and the energy to grow something meaningful. You will be responsible for developing the firm’s private client presence across London and internationally, offering a full range of advisory services to high and ultra-high net worth clients, including:
- Drafting and advising on wills, trusts, and lasting powers of attorney
- Handling complex estate administration and probate, including intestacies and foreign domicile matters
- Providing succession and tax planning advice, including lifetime gifting, asset protection, and post-death variations
- Advising international clients on UK property structuring, domicile and residency, and cross-border estate planning
- Collaborating with family offices, financial advisers, and tax specialists to deliver joined-up advice
- Leading on business development and the longer-term strategic growth of the department
A qualified solicitor (8+ PQE) with strong private client experience across wills, trusts, estate planning, and probate. Technically strong, with confidence handling high-value and complex estates (often with international elements). STEP qualified or working towards it. Commercially minded and capable of building lasting client relationships. Entrepreneurial, self-driven, and excited by the idea of building a new practice from a high-quality platform. A confident communicator and leader, capable of mentoring junior lawyers and representing the department internally and externally.
