Birchall Blackburn Law is seeking an experienced Residential Property Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Legal Executive to lead its established Conveyancing Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced conveyancing professional who is looking to move into a genuine leadership position within a well-regarded and growing law firm.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing the conveyancing team, overseeing departmental performance, supporting and mentoring fee earners, and maintaining excellent client service standards. Whilst the role includes some fee-earning responsibilities, the focus will be on leadership, supervision, training and driving departmental growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Conveyancing Department
  • Supervise and mentor conveyancers, solicitors and support staff
  • Monitor team performance, productivity and compliance
  • Support business development and departmental growth initiatives
  • Maintain a reduced residential conveyancing caseload
  • Ensure high standards of client care and risk management
  • Assist with recruitment, training and staff development
Requirements
  • Qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Chartered Legal Executive
  • Significant residential conveyancing experience
  • Previous team leadership, supervisory or management experience preferred
  • Strong technical knowledge of the residential property market
  • Excellent communication and people management skills
  • Commercially aware with a proactive approach to business development
