An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Family Partner to lead one of London's most respected and highly regarded Family teams.

The firm acts for an impressive client base including businesses, NGOs, public figures and high-net-worth private individuals, and has built an exceptional reputation for handling complex, high-profile and often groundbreaking legal matters.
Due to continued growth and future succession planning, the firm is seeking an accomplished Family Lawyer at Partner or Equity Partner level to lead the department through its next phase of development.
This is a strategic leadership appointment offering the opportunity to shape the direction of an established practice whilst continuing to work on exceptional quality matters.
The Opportunity
You will lead a successful mixed Family practice, managing an experienced team while maintaining your own caseload.
The role provides genuine autonomy to influence departmental strategy, strengthen referral networks and enhance the firm's reputation within the Family law sector.
The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional technical ability, commercial awareness, strong leadership qualities and a commitment to outstanding client service.
- The Work
- The department advises on a wide range of complex Family matters, including:
- Divorce and financial remedy proceedings
- Private children matters
- International Family law
- Adoption matters
- Child abduction cases
- High-value and complex financial disputes
- Mixed privately funded and legally aided work
Alongside fee-earning responsibilities, you will lead departmental strategy, supervise lawyers and support staff, oversee financial performance, mentor junior colleagues and contribute to the wider management of the firm.
Candidate Profile
Applications are encouraged from experienced Family Partners or Senior Associates seeking partnership who can demonstrate:
- Minimum 10 years' post-qualification experience
- Broad experience across private Family law
- Strong expertise in divorce, financial remedy and private children work
- Exposure to international matters, adoption and child abduction
- Understanding of legal aid procedures (desirable)
- Excellent technical and commercial judgement
- Proven leadership and people management skills
- Strong billing, financial management and business development capability
- An established professional network and ability to generate new work
- Outstanding negotiation, advocacy and client relationship skills
- A collaborative, inclusive leadership style
