An established and growing legal team is looking for a Supervising Solicitor to join its Secured Lending department and play a key role in both complex casework and the development of the wider team.

Reporting to the Head of Secured Lending, the successful candidate will manage their own caseload of secured lending matters, including company borrowers and more technical transactions such as Transfers of Part, Lease Extensions, Grants of Lease and Transfers of Equity.

Alongside their own caseload, they will take on an important technical, quality assurance and supervisory role, reviewing files, signing off Certificates of Title, identifying risk and supporting junior colleagues with technical guidance and coaching.

The role would suit a qualified conveyancing professional with strong secured lending experience who enjoys combining hands-on technical work with leadership and quality oversight.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a varied secured lending caseload from instruction through to completion
  • Reviewing title and ensuring compliance with lender requirements
  • Signing off Certificates of Title and carrying out risk-based file reviews
  • Supporting, coaching and developing junior team members
  • Identifying and escalating legal, lender and compliance risks
  • Working with the Head of Secured Lending to improve processes and service levels
  • Maintaining strong relationships with lender clients and third parties
  • Ensuring files are completed accurately and within agreed SLAs
