Our client is seeking an experienced Costs Lawyer and Draftsman to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an opportunity to work with a respected legal practice, applying specialist knowledge in costs law and drafting to support clients through complex matters. The successful candidate will take on a central role in the costs practice, combining legal expertise with meticulous attention to detail.
- Specialise in costs law and drafting, handling matters from assessment through to resolution
- Work with a well-established legal practice that values technical expertise and client service
- Permanent role offering stability and scope to develop your costs practice further
Preferred Requirements
- Qualified as a Costs Lawyer with proven experience in costs drafting and assessment
- Strong knowledge of civil procedure rules and costs law principles
- Ability to draft detailed costs schedules, bills of costs, and supporting documentation to a high standard
- Experience advising clients on costs implications and managing costs disputes
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple matters with competing deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Costs Lawyer qualification (or equivalent recognised accreditation in costs law)
- Membership of the Association of Costs Lawyers or similar professional body
- Demonstrable experience working within a legal practice or costs consultancy
