A highly reputable firm is seeking an experienced Costs Draftsman or Costs Lawyer to join its specialist costs team. This permanent, full-time or part-time role offers a competitive salary and flexible working options (remote, hybrid, or office-based) to the successful candidate.

  • Prepare Bills of Costs for detailed assessment and manage Precedent H costs budgets.

  • Advise fee earners on costs strategy and recovery, and support negotiations and settlement of costs.
  • Demonstrate a strong background in inter partes claimant work, particularly in serious injury and/or clinical negligence.
  • Possess solid knowledge of Precedents H, F, T, and R, and the ability to manage files independently and handle complex matters.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experienced Costs Draftsman or qualified Costs Lawyer.
  • Strong technical ability and commercial awareness.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
